What are the requirements to join?
If you can swim confidently, you can surf with us!
Our courses are open to anyone aged 6 and up – and there’s no upper age limit.
It doesn’t matter if it’s your first time on a board or if you’re already riding waves like a pro – there’s a place for you here. There are no height or weight restrictions. We’ve got wetsuits up to size 3XL and a variety of boards to suit every level.
If you have a medical condition or any special circumstances, just let us know in advance. We’ll do our best to adapt so you can enjoy the experience to the fullest.
What equipment is provided in the course, and what should I bring?
We provide everything you need to surf:
✅ Surfboard suited to your level
✅ Leash (safety cord that connects you to the board)
✅ Full-length 3:2mm wetsuit to keep you comfy in the water
You just need to bring:
✔ Swimsuit or bikini (you wear it under the wetsuit for hygiene)
✔ Flip-flops or comfy shoes for the walk to the beach
✔ Sunscreen (also available in our surf shop)
✔ Towel and dry clothes for after the session
✔ Water & a snack (there’s a minimarket nearby)
How long do the surf courses last?
Each course lasts around 4 hours in total, including transport and preparation time.
Out of those 4 hours, you’ll spend around 2 hours at the beach with your instructor, making the most of your time in the water.
If we’re picking you up from your hotel, you’ll be back approximately 4 hours after pick-up.
What safety measures are in place during the lessons? What qualifications do the instructors have?
Safety first.
All our instructors are certified surf coaches and qualified lifeguards, with experience in spotting the best surf conditions and locations to ensure you ride safely.
Before getting in the water, they’ll teach you how to recognise and avoid potential hazards, like rip currents. Plus, they’ll be with you in the water at all times to make sure your session is safe, fun, and fully supervised.
Why are the course times so early or so late?
Surfing isn’t a fixed-schedule sport. We follow the tides to give you the best experience possible.
📍 Our lessons are scheduled when conditions are ideal for beginners – that means when you can get in the water without having to paddle too far.
That’s why some sessions might be at sunrise or sunset. It’s not random – it’s when the waves are just right for learning and having fun.
How do I know which surf course package is right for me?
If it’s your first time surfing, we recommend at least 3 lessons to build confidence on the board and in the water.
This is the standard suggested by the ISA (International Surfing Association).
But every surfer is different. You can assess your progress after each session or ask your instructor for personalised advice on your next steps.
📢 Reminder: From your 7th lesson onwards, each group class will cost just €45.
If you get hooked on surfing (and we know you will!), you can keep booking as many sessions as you like – no limits.
Which languages are the lessons available in?
So you can enjoy the experience without worries, our surf lessons are available in:
🗣️ English, German, and Spanish.
Please let us know in advance if you have trouble understanding English and we’ll make sure to assign you the right instructor.
Will you pick me up from my hotel?
Yes, we offer transport from your hotel in the south of Fuerteventura. We have two routes:
🚐 North route: Up to Las Playitas
🚐 South route: Up to Morro Jable
If your hotel is in Costa Calma or La Pared, you can be picked up on either route.
📍 When booking online, you can check the map to see if your hotel is within the pick-up area.
Prefer to come to the surf school on your own? That’s totally fine – just let us know in advance if you’ll need transport.
Can I bring a friend or family member to watch my lesson?
Absolutely! Your friend or family member is welcome to join you at the beach and watch you surf – no problem at all.
🚨 Please note:
There are no bars or sunbeds at the beach.
Transport is reserved for course participants. If there’s space available at the time of departure, a companion may join for a €10 fee – but we can’t guarantee availability in advance.
👦 In the case of a child under 12 attending the course alone, one parent may book a seat on the transport in advance (extra cost of €10).
Is there a discount if I book several lessons at once?
Yes! The more lessons you book, the more you save.
📢 From your 7th lesson onwards, each group session costs just €45.
If you’re planning to surf more than once (and trust us – you will!), booking multiple lessons is the best way to improve and save money.
Do you offer discounts for families?
We want surfing in Fuerteventura to be a shared family experience.
👨👩👧👦 If there are 4 or more of you, we’ll give you 10% off the total price.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my lesson?
We understand that plans can change, so we offer flexible booking options:
✅ Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance: Full refund, no problem.
❌ Cancellations within 24 hours of the lesson: 50% of the course fee will be charged.
If you’d rather reschedule than cancel, just let us know in advance and we’ll find a new date that works for you.
