🌿 Southern Vegetation: Resilient and Essential
The landscape here may seem dry at first glance, but if you look closely, you’ll see a very particular ecosystem. Between the rocks and sand grow species adapted to wind and salt: plants like tabaibas, veroles, and small coastal plants that help fix the soil and protect the area from erosion.
These plants are part of the environment that surrounds us every day. They remind us that in Fuerteventura, like in surfing, everything is about adapting and respecting the natural rhythm.
🐠 Marine Life Near the Coast
During our kayak and snorkel excursions in the Las Playitas area, we often encounter all kinds of marine life. Octopuses, starfish, parrotfish, rays, and occasionally, some angel sharks.
You don’t need to go far to discover what’s beneath the surface. Just look calmly.
Additionally, in the Cofete area, there’s a sea turtle recovery project where these magnificent creatures are gradually returning to these waters.
These experiences make us value even more the place where we live and surf.

La Pared is one of the most consistent and peaceful surf spots in south Fuerteventura.
Here there’s no mass tourism or queues to get in the water. There’s space, clean wind, and good vibes.
We teach classes mainly at low tide, when the sandy bottom allows you to walk in and start directly in the white water foam.
It’s a safe and effective way to learn without having to paddle to the back or depend on someone pushing you.
Plus, we’re the only surf school with a base directly next to the surf spot.
We have showers, rest area, and space to change — all within respect for the protected environment.
